Supporting Urban Agriculture

SUA is an urban farm in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. We work to collectively strengthen local food security and access through sustainable growing and selling practices.

We will not be doing the SUA CSA Boxes this coming growing season. After 5 years of dishing them out year round it was definately a hard decision. It was quite the journey. We will be focusing on resturants and the neighborhoods needs more this growing season. Much love and gratitude to all those who stcuk with us over the years we cannot express how much it meant to us to get your support. We will let y'all know where to find our produce once we start selling.

Back from a two week hiatus

Happy Holidays! The SUA box went on a two week break but back on the scene this coming Friday the 12TH! For the last three years SUA has been putting together and delivering our lovely box on Saturdays. Starting this week we will begin delivering on Fridays instead. Why? Our partners at VEGGI Farm Co Op harvest everything friday morning and SUA historically harvests half of its crops Friday and the rest Saturday right before deliveries. Considering most of the box is already cut and ready by Friday the natural move would be to get it to the customer as close to harvesting as possible. Our loyal and long running customers  gave us the go ahead so we are making it official…boxes on Friday. Contact us immediately for any questions. Thank you for reading and please give us any feedback if you feel inclined too.

Gardening is an exercise in optimism. Sometimes,
it is a triumph of hope over experience.
